Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems for processing transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Uphold phone etiquette when managing customer calls or inquiries. Foster a welcoming environment for all customers, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their shopping experience. Experience Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as language skills can enhance customer interactions. Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership roles within the team.
