Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and maintain high safety standards. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Conduct troubleshooting using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project completion within timelines. Perform renovations and upgrades to existing electrical systems as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Valid Journeyman license (MO & KS) Proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial environments. (1+ year) Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage, high voltage, and NEC standards. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Experience in construction site environments with a focus on safety practices. Excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Previous maintenance person experience or frame carpentry skills are considered an asset.
