We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our Miami office. This role will work closely with the owner/president, collaborating on cost estimates for shell construction projects involving concrete structures; form work masonry, rebar placement, post-tension cables, and cast-in-place concrete. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for concrete, masonry, and reinforcement work.
Work directly with the owner/president to develop competitive bids and proposals.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure estimate accuracy.
Review subcontractor and supplier bids and negotiate pricing for cost efficiency.
Prepare and present detailed cost reports to clients and internal staff.
Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating preferably shell construction/formwork.
Strong knowledge of concrete work, masonry walls, rebar placement, and cast-in-place concrete processes.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
Bilingual (English & Spanish speaking)
