Media/Influencer Relations Maintain strong relationships with more than ten key media across business and tech industries Identify new media opportunities for clients and share findings with teams across the agency Proactively pitch stories to generate coverage for the whole team Coach junior staff to improve team performance Leverage social media channels to engage and support PR efforts Measure the ROI of communications activities Engage with social media influencers, run content campaigns, and amplify media coverage Client service/management: manage projects from concept through execution Track competitors and flag opportunities and news events for commentary Own and direct client PR calls; provide counsel on media opportunities even under challenging circumstances Develop quarterly campaigns and PR plans including creative campaigns, trendscapes and thought leadership topics Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking, content, etc.) Be a reliable go-to resource for client contacts; develop budget and team priority allocations Participate in media training sessions with clients, including developing key messages and follow-up Develop and edit campaign plans, press releases, fact sheets, bios, backgrounders, briefings, contributed articles, pitches, Q&As, and related materials; oversee production Maintain professional, timely client communication; develop consistent, creative pitches Participate in new business processes including research and pitch preparation Identify and attend networking events and encourage others to attend Support teams and manage up and down; maintain a respectful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude Use Highwire social channels and contribute to the Highwire blog; mentor junior staff Proactively set quarterly goals with management; track progress and demonstrate growth Prioritize responsibilities based on impact, timelines, workflow and client goals Drive projects forward independently and meet deadlines Identify areas for self-improvement and propose solutions Attend networking events regularly Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in an agency or startup environment, with involvement in innovative campaigns Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities; able to develop go-to bloggers and journos Proven leadership, accountability, high standards, and motivation Strong media relationships and comfort with influencer engagement and content campaigns Ability to manage projects from concept to execution and monitor ROI of PR activities Comfort with fast-paced environments and staying current with industry trends X years of experience in cybersecurity or tech PR is preferred Benefits (Highwire Perks)
