Job Overview
The Farmacy, a new breakfast/Lunch restaurant opening in the East Village, is seeking dishwashers. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our restaurant, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. We will be open from 8 am to 3 pm everyday except Tuesday. This is a part time job to start, but could evolve to be full time for the right candidate. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness in dish area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste. Assist with food preparation tasks if needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during peak service times. Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards. Participate in inventory management by reporting any shortages or damages of kitchen supplies. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
