Overview
Marketing and Strategic Engagement Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I) is a staff position located in Fullerton. The salary range depends on qualifications and is typically $4,598 - $5,528 per month. Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. This is an ongoing, full-time appointment in the Dean’s Office, College of Business and Economics. Key Responsibilities
The Marketing and Strategic Engagement Analyst serves as a primary liaison for initiatives that promote the College of Business and Economics’ reputation and impact within the broader business community. Responsibilities include: Provide high-level guidance to the Dean and marketing leadership and execute a comprehensive plan to amplify the college’s visibility, branding, influence, and institutional goals. Act as liaison to external boards (e.g., Titan Business Executive Fellow Program, Alumni Council, Dean’s Advisory Board). Collaborate with the CBE Advancement Team and University External Relations to synchronize messaging and engagement efforts. Develop and distribute externally focused communications, leveraging technology and social media to sustain relationships. Ensure the financial viability of events and compliance with financial and fiscal policies. Develop a strategic engagement plan to strengthen connections with external stakeholders including business leaders, alumni, and advisory board members. Identify and develop opportunities for external engagement and integrate efforts into academic and student affairs. Promote mentorship, networking events, and professional development initiatives between career services, community partners, and students. Establish criteria for recognizing contributions from community partners and manage outreach metrics and performance indicators. Maintain the college’s external engagement content on the website. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent administrative experience in study, analysis, and improvement of policies, procedures, or programs; plus two years of related experience. Working knowledge of standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty. Thorough knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and outside regulations; working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative, plan, organize, coordinate, and perform in multiple demanding situations. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs; ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to inform recommendations. Ability to investigate and analyze problems with broad administrative impact; anticipate problems and address them proactively. Ability to present information clearly in written or oral form; ability to train others and provide lead work direction. Additional requirements include a background check and the ability to comply with CSU policies. The conditional offer of employment may be rescinded if disqualifying information is found in the background check. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Five years of related experience in alumni relations, event planning, community engagement, or a related field. University setting experience, preferably within the CSU system, with knowledge of best practices in alumni engagement and volunteer management. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; understanding of higher education trends, regulations, and practices. Licenses/Certifications
A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation. Occasional travel may be required for external engagement activities. Additional Information
