Overview
Director Product Technology Incubation role at Philip Morris International U.S. This position focuses on enabling external innovation and partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate new technologies into products that solve unmet consumer needs. You will drive innovation opportunities with strategic vision, technical acumen, and collaborative leadership within the OneUS Innovation & Corporate Development team.
Responsibilities
Innovation Strategy Development: Develop and implement a technology incubation and acceleration roadmap for innovation platforms, addressing unmet consumer needs.
Technology Identification and Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging technologies to drive growth and competitive advantage.
External Partnership Management: Source, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with external innovators, startups, academic institutions, and technology hubs.
Incubation and Acceleration Programs: Manage programs that support development and commercialization of new technologies and ensure integration into operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams to adopt and implement technology into the product portfolio.
Resource Allocation: Oversee budget, personnel, and facilities to support incubation and acceleration initiatives.
Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at conferences and events to advocate for technological innovation.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Life Sciences, or related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in technology development, innovation management, or related field with proven incubation and acceleration track record.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their applications in FMCG or healthcare sectors.
Partnership Skills: Ability to build and maintain strategic external partnerships with startups, research institutions, and technology providers.
Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities focused on driving innovation and business objectives.

Annual Base Salary Range: $181,500-$242,000
