We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef or Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry production, with experience in baking and pastry production. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality desserts and pastries that exceed customer expectations. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal for customer orders. Package finished products for display while maintaining quality and freshness. Assist in food production and preparation for catering events or special occasions as needed. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours. Requirements Proven experience in pastry cooking or baking within the food industry; culinary school training is a plus. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and knife skills. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere. Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
