Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a large portfolio of quality subcontractors, project scheduling, and site experience. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in various construction management software tools. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met. Manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid to track progress and adjust timelines as necessary. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Review contracts and negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors. Utilize construction estimating software like ProCore and Bluebeam for accurate budgeting and resource allocation. Prepare reports on project status, including timelines, costs, and any issues that arise during the construction process. Foster effective communication among team members to facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts promptly. Experience Proven experience in construction management or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and project management principles. Familiarity with civil engineering concepts, including the use of Civil 3D for design purposes. Proficient in using construction management software for project coordination and scheduling tasks. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively. Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Previous experience working directly on construction sites is highly desirable.
