Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law and demonstrate exceptional organizational and administrative skills. This role is crucial in supporting attorneys with legal research, document management, and case preparation, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. Duties Assist attorneys with legal research and case management using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases Organize and maintain case files using document management systems like iManage Support estate planning, family law, immigration law, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, UCC law, and securities law matters Perform project management tasks to ensure timely completion of legal projects Handle data entry and clerical tasks including filing and maintaining accurate records Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as needed Maintain effective communication with clients via phone etiquette and professional correspondence Experience Previous paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is preferred Familiarity with litigation processes and legal case management practices Proficiency in document review and transcription tasks Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in the legal field while contributing to meaningful work that impacts clients' lives.
