Construction Superintendent

MJ Takisaki is a Commercial General Contractor looking for a qualified Construction Superintendent to join our Seattle team The ideal Superintendent candidate will be able to provide day-to-day supervision of the jobsite to make sure the project is being completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the project documents. The Superintendent must be an effective communicator, a problem solver, and a team player. Responsibilities for a Superintendent include the following: Oversee daily operation of the construction project to ensure compliance with project documents including plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs. Document activities and personnel onsite in daily job reports. Coordination and supervision of all jobsite activities and personnel. Manage subcontractors and construction site organization. Scheduling subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections. Manage and update project schedule including look-ahead schedules. Communicate project progress with clients and project team. Prepare accurate and detailed daily job reports. Manage and enforce jobsite safety. Review and provide input on scopes of work. Participate in meetings with the client. Meet with subcontractors to discuss schedule, quality, safety, and scopes of work. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Minimum of 5 years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor (Federal Contracting experience or Port of Seattle experience is preferred). Must be organized, able to multi-task, detail-oriented, and a problem-solving team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction documents. Familiarity with regulatory construction standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA-30 preferred). Background check is required.
