Location: Plaquemine, 70764 Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm Pay Rate: $ $36.00 per hour DOE Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with experience in operating CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials, including plastics and metals. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machinery to produce precision metal parts for various welding and fabrication projects while adhering to safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling, and other machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Perform CNC programming for new and repeat jobs, including setup and operation of Fanuc controls, ensuring optimal machining performance and accuracy. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining specifications. Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine calibrations to ensure tight tolerances. Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise to minimize downtime. Collaborate with team members in a lean manufacturing environment to improve processes and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling for assembly tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery. Requirements: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a welding or metal fabrication environment. Proficient in programming and operating CNC lathes, mills, and other automated machines (experience with HAAS, Okuma, or similar is preferred). Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Excellent knowledge of materials and machining processes. Ability to work with tight tolerances and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to use precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Familiarity with G-code programming and machine setup. Ability to lift and move heavy materials, as needed. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $ $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
