Overview The Low Voltage Hardware Validation Test team is looking to bring on a Car Computer Engineering Technician to support Semi test development, execution, documentation, and root cause analysis. A Car Computer Engineering Technician will support all aspects of testing from electrical debugging, mechanical fixture design/building, software validation/script modification.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with Engineers to validate body controllers for the Semi program through mechanical, electrical, and software/firmware testing
Design, build, and dismantle static fixtures often made of T-Slotted aluminum extrusion
Launch test software and help triage test failures
Design, build, debug, rework, and dismantle complex electrical sever rack testers
What You'll Bring
Soldering experience related to reworking PCBA board
Custom harness building experience related to building signal and power cables sizes from 22 gauge to 0 gauge
Ability to manage multiple test priorities and communicate proactively
Proficient in using a Digital Multimeter (DMM) to measure voltage and resistance, with strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
Proven experience working with coolant system and hoses, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and safety
Operating test utilizing environmental chambers for thermal/humidity and vibration equipment
Analyzing test data and identifying trends to predict potential failures
Help drive design changes based on test results by collaborating with design engineers and test engineers
Preferred, not required: Experience building things using SolidWorks, Catia, Altium, Autodesk Inventor. Experience programming in/on/with Linux, PyCharm, Command line, Arduino, DAQs, and power supplies. Experience fabricating things with CNC mills/Lathes, 3D printers, Laser cutter, chop saws, drill presses, electronic/mechanical crimpers. Experience gathering electrical, mechanical, temperature, data with strain gauges, TC, DAQs, oscilloscope, torque wrench, Micro ohm meter, HI pot, and Pressure Decay leak tester. Has experience running reliability and validation testing with environmental chambers for PCBAs
Benefits Compensation and Benefits
Expected Compensation: $24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
