Portfolio Architect
owns technical decisions and directions for their portfolio of applications. Designs applications and platforms required to automate business processes and meet business needs as an integrated solution. The resulting design may run on several platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages and custom components. Assumes overall technical responsibility for the success of cloud/non-cloud solution construction, implementation and system integration. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Owns technical decisions and direction of the Crew Portfolio. Design applications required to automate business processes as an integrated solution. Plays an active role in the overall technical architecture and owns the technical responsibility of the success of cloud/non-cloud solutions. Overseeing each phase of software application development to ensure a high level of quality for each assigned project. Developing and defining business and technical operating procedures and standards. Identifying application and business requirements by communicating with technical teams and clients. Keeping abreast of, recommending, and driving new technologies towards implementation and exploitation. Architect specialization areas may include App/Integration, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, Platform, Security. What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
10 or more years in a Software Architecture or Lead Software Engineering capacity at enterprise scale. 7+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise software application design and development on-prem and cloud; experience with architecture and design of enterprise software solutions, applications, integrations, security and platform engineering. Expert level proficiency in cloud-native development in Spring/SpringBoot, Angular, ROSA, AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Lambda, EC2, Gitlab, Tekton, RESTful APIs. Mentor and evolve staff Software Engineers with standard methodologies and leadership. Experience defining and maintaining accountability to architectural design patterns for mobile and desktop. Technology domain escalation point; highly proficient with Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, practices, and tools. Expertise in application security principles and 12-factor application development principles. Experience with microservices, messaging middleware and cloud-native AWS applications. Web application frameworks such as Spring Boot, Java 17, Angular, SQL, Node.js. Experience with cloud platforms; OpenShift (Kubernetes) and AWS; multiple cloud-native AWS tools (Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, etc.). Experience with mobile application development and Oracle 19c. Experience in VersionOne, GIT, CI/CD, TDD and DevOps; agile development with frequent releases. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale RESTful services and developing POCs; ability to innovate new solutions. Ensure Delta methodology, standards, and procedures are adopted and implemented. Experience working with outside vendors or consultants to ensure project or product integrity; large project experience with high transaction volumes. Act as a point of contact for technical issues, creating documentation, monitoring service levels; prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Education: high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency; authorized to work in the United States (18+). Experience in an airline technology environment is preferred. Microservice development on a cloud platform using 12-factor architectural patterns. Experience building flexible and robust APIs. Motivated to work in a fast-paced organization; experience working with diverse teams across countries. Systems engineering, logic or developer background with ability to learn quickly and share knowledge. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools (Tekton, GitLab CI, AWS CDK, Terraform, etc.). Experience with monitoring tools in a production environment for troubleshooting.
