Human Resources Generalist II
to join our team at Mativ. The role provides human resource leadership, support, guidance, and oversight to our Windsor, CT facility. The role supports team development through maintaining talent, investing in HR capability to build long-term programs, and delivering best-in-class HR solutions. Reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager, this role is based in Windsor, CT and not remote. On-site presence is expected during core business hours. Responsibilities
Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety, including following safety policies, procedures and PPE, and conducting planned inspections bi-monthly Build a strong working relationship with union leadership Assist management with college recruiting events and intern/co-op programs Support recruitment and screening for qualified hourly and salaried candidates to ensure adequate staffing; include full-cycle recruiting, posting ads in line with Affirmative Action, writing position descriptions, delivering onboarding processes to reduce training time and improve retention Define pre-boarding and onboarding programs to prepare employees for success Support training initiatives for hourly and salaried employees Maintain records in SuccessFactors (MativCentral), keeping employment records current Maintain attendance records Promote collaborative work, knowledge sharing and best practices with active experimentation Support a diverse and inclusive workforce representative of the communities in which we operate Cultivate a two-way communication work environment Standardize people-related policies, processes, procedures and execution; possess broad knowledge to drive organizational changes Drive continuous improvement of HR functions (staffing & recruiting, budgets, compensation administration, policy administration, employee relations, organizational development, change management, etc.) Track and report HR metrics; communicate people-related data in a meaningful, actionable way Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience 4+ years of progressive experience in HR, Safety or related field Employee and Labor Relations experience, including ability to conduct employee investigations Proven leadership, coaching, relationship building and conflict resolution skills Ability to integrate into an existing leadership team Interpersonal skills to influence both hourly and salaried employees Experience working in manufacturing Working knowledge of HR and labor laws (e.g., Title VII, ADAAA, FMLA, FLSA) Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems Competencies
Strong business acumen, communication and presentation skills High integrity, confidentiality and organizational sensitivity Highly organized and proactive in project management and execution Excellent communication and consulting skills to engage, motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels Curious, proactive, adaptable self-starter; comfortable with short deadlines and changing priorities Solution-focused and flexible to business needs Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate others Analytical with strong data management skills What We Offer
