The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Duties/Responsibilities Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. Facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required. Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Perform routine tasks related to human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters appropriately. Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to ensure adherence. Stay informed of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law. Perform other duties as assigned.

Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately. Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to quickly learn and work with HRIS and talent management systems. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least one year of HR management experience preferred. SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Access to and ability to navigate all organizational facilities.
