Overview Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Director of Quality for a food manufacturing company. They will be responsible for overseeing the company’s quality assurance & food safety programs. The Director will manage a team of quality control professionals, collaborate across departments, and work closely with external stakeholders to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. The Director will also play a key role in fostering and enhancing a strong food safety culture within the organization. Must be open to shift.

Lead the development, implementation, and ci of quality management systems Oversee product quality testing, evaluations, and audits to maintain compliance and regulatory compliance Monitor and measure product quality, conducting root cause analysis on quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed Drive the development and execution of quality policies & procedures within industry standards Ensure the organizations adherence to food safety regulations & maintain necessary certifications Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of food safety programs Oversee the maintenance of food safety programs including training, audits, and food safety processes Coordinate inspections, certifications, and compliance updates Manage and mentor the quality assurance and food safety teams Develop team KPI’s and ensure alignment with organization goals Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure quality controls measures Work closely with other departments including Marketing and R&D Ensure alignment between quality and food safety initiative and overall company objectives Respond to and manage food safety incidents Conduct internal audits & reviews Oversee the preparation of required regulator reports Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and training programs Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s degree in Food Science or related field Lead Auditor Certified (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 22000) Food Defense Certified Master’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Proven expertise in process improvement and waste reduction) Certifications
