We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
to manage all incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying shipments, maintaining records, preparing items for shipping, and ensuring that all goods are stored and handled correctly.
Responsibilities: Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments and paperwork. Unload packages and check contents against purchase orders or invoices. Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and documenting as required. Operate pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely. Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipping logs. Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments. Track inventory levels and report discrepancies or damages. Ensure the shipping/receiving area is organized and meets safety standards. Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent. · Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. · Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). · Familiarity with inventory software, scanners, and shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS). · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Basic math and computer skills.
Physical Requirements: · Frequent standing, lifting, and use of equipment. • Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
