Job Summary: The QC Technician maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
Responsibilities of the Position: Perform equipment verification and monitoring challenges (scale calibration, metal detector challenge, checkweigher challenge) Perform pre-operation and line clearance inspections Perform ATP sampling Independently perform and document all in-process food safety and quality inspections (BOM, lot code, net weight, label review, sensory, package construction and closure) Independently perform blow molding and winding inspection (Bartlett only) Responsible for investigation and following hold procedures for out of specification components and finished goods Trained in GMP and GDP - Performs GMP-related auditing of production Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; cooperation and teamwork as well as complying with legal regulations. Work overtime hours as required by business needs. Attends selected meetings and trainings as required. Perform other duties as assigned by Management Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Computer literacy with tablets (such as iPads or other touch screen technology) General math skills Ability to read and write English Education and Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-6 months related food quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required Working Conditions: Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees This position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business. Physical Requirements: Operate standard office equipment Reach with hands and arms Lift up to 35 pounds
