Safety Officer –

Location: Itasca, IL Reports To: VP of Operations, HR & Safety Compensation: $70k+ (based on experience) Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance, and promote a strong safety culture. This role is essential to protecting our people, improving operations, and supporting company success. Responsibilities
Develop and implement safety policies and programs Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and equipment inspections Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses Lead and manage the Safety Committee Deliver engaging safety training sessions Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation Stay current with OSHA, EPA, ANSI regulations Collaborate across departments and with outside agencies Requirements
Bachelor’s in Environmental Health & Safety (preferred) 3–5 years’ safety management experience in
manufacturing/industrial
setting Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI regulations & safety management systems (ISO 45001, OSHA VPP, etc.) Strong leadership and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP, Salesforce, Business Central Valid competency certificates & Health & Safety Officer registration High integrity, accountability, and a team-first mindset Why You’ll Love It Here
