Community Activity Center Coordinator
Develops, organizes, and implements programs to promote and market the Community Activity Center and the Parks and Recreation Department. This position requires working various hours, including evenings and weekends. Examples of duties include: Creating marketing materials promoting all aspects of the Community Activity Center, including programs, memberships, rentals, and special events, through print and electronic media platforms. Supervising the Community Activity Center building during regular weekly shifts. Assisting with supervision of Tot Drop, concessions, and front desk areas, including part-time staff. Developing and implementing programs designed to increase sales and memberships. Overseeing facility rentals and birthday parties, including inquiries, tours, bookings, staffing, and follow-up. Serving as the system administrator for the Parks and Recreation Services Department's registration software. Leading and modeling high-quality customer service and assisting with front desk operations. Assisting in the budgeting process, including purchasing supplies and reconciling credit card purchases. Supporting the implementation of other Parks and Recreation programs as needed. Keeping supervisor informed of work-related activities. Adhering to the personnel, safety, and departmental policies and procedures. Assisting other co-workers as needed. Performing other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Physical Education, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of experience as a Recreation Coordinator, Programs Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, or a related position. Desired qualifications include experience with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite products. Experience in program development, facility operations, and event coordination. Knowledge/skills/abilities include excellent leadership, organizational, training, and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to maintain effective and positive working relationships with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers. Ability to work various hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Physical abilities include the ability to talk, see, hear, write, read, and work in adverse environmental conditions. Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of sports and other equipment.
