A contract position is available for a skilled Social Worker specializing in school environments, located in Naperville, IL. This role focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs within a school setting, collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' social and emotional needs through observation and individual sessions.
  • Develop intervention plans to address issues such as behavioral challenges, family dynamics, and mental health concerns.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Facilitate referrals to external community resources and healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work (Bachelors or Masters) with appropriate licensure or certification.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or social service settings.
  • Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and family systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with school policies and educational regulations.
