Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst with deep knowledge of P&C insurance operations and strong experience in AI-driven transformation initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, data science, enterprise architecture, and compliance teams to translate business objectives into well-defined GenAI use cases, requirements, and measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate is skilled at gathering requirements, optimizing workflows, and supporting enterprise-wide adoption of GenAI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Case Discovery & Prioritization: Identify and document opportunities for GenAI applications across underwriting, claims, operations, distribution, risk engineering, and finance (e.g., document intelligence, fraud detection, submission intake, claims leakage detection).
- Business Requirements & Design: Write clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps; align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Delivery & Testing: Manage backlog items, support Agile ceremonies, coordinate testing (functional, UAT, integration, A/B), and oversee release readiness.
- AI Governance & Compliance: Maintain documentation for model cards, guardrails, privacy impact assessments, and audit readiness.
- Adoption & Change Management: Develop adoption plans, deliver user training, and embed AI outputs into decision workflows to maximize business value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong P&C insurance industry experience.
- Proven experience gathering requirements, designing workflows, and producing technical specifications for data/AI projects.
- Familiarity with LLM capabilities, limitations, and implementation (agents, automation, and enterprise rollout).
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (able to create demos/presentations).
- Understanding of underwriting, claims, and risk management processes.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business audiences.
- Experience with Agile tools, backlog management, and UAT/test plan execution.
- Remote (EST hours required): Must be available early mornings to collaborate with offshore teams.
- Collaborative, cross-functional environment with direct access to business, engineering, and data science teams.
