Overview
Lifetime Dentistry of South Tulsa, a Heartland Dental Supported Practice, is looking for a Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. This position offers a full benefits package, a 4-day onboarding/intro period, no nights or weekends, and quarterly bonus potential. Expected full-time work hours: Monday 7:30am-4:00pm; Tuesday & Wednesday 6:30am-3:00pm; Thursday 8:45am-6:00pm; one Friday per month rotated 9:00am-2:00pm (hours subject to change).
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work with state-of-the-art technology and a supportive team focused on patient care and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients from their dental journey; sustain patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment
- Review patient health history to inform quality care
- Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC)
- Manage supply and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
- Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Oklahoma Dental Permit
- Oklahoma X-Ray Certification
- 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
- Ability to protect PHI; regular HIPAA training; understand minimum PHI access requirements
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments; strong communication and organizational skills
- Team player; adaptable to changing conditions
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred Experience
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Lift/carry up to 45 pounds
- Occasional availability for virtual or in-person training sessions
