A Special Education Teacher is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support elementary students in a resource classroom setting. This contract position is onsite and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The classroom primarily serves students in grades 3 through 5, including 12 students without significant behavioral challenges and one semi self-contained student diagnosed with high-functioning autism who is verbal.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning needs. Provide specialized instruction and support within a resource classroom environment. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning opportunities. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to promote academic growth. Maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence. Qualifications and Experience: Valid certification in Learning Disabilities (LD) or Multi-Categorical Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in grades 3 to 5. Familiarity with resource classroom models and individualized student support. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite full-time in Darlington, SC.
