Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education certification with Extensive Supports Needs (ESN) endorsement Experience teaching elementary-aged students (TK-5) with diverse exceptionalities Strong skills in individualized instruction and behavior support planning Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Commitment to fostering inclusive classroom settings and student growth Location: Elementary school setting in Oakland, CA Key Responsibilities: Design and implement tailored instructional plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize skill development Employ evidence-based practices to address academic and social-emotional goals for students with extensive support needs Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and independence Collaborate closely with classroom aides, therapists, and parents to ensure coordinated support Schedule and Duration: Full-time contract position from August 7, 2025, through June 4, 2026 Student-focused workday comprising 7.17 hours daily This role provides an excellent chance to make a significant impact on the educational journey of children requiring specialized support.
