$32 - $40/hour, depending on experience. Summary: We are seeking a Communications Specialist to join our team in Seattle. In this role, you will support our mission by creating engaging, timely, and audience-focused communications. You will work under the Policy Director to develop and implement communications plans and engage priority audiences with our Foundation through calls to action. Responsibilities

Content Development (50%): Draft and publish blog and social media posts, newsletter articles, news releases, op-eds, and other content that highlights partners, staff, or the Foundation generally. Update content and visuals for programmatic print and digital materials, such as flyers, overviews, presentations, brochures, and educational materials. Use culturally appropriate language and asset-based framing to engage diverse populations across the state. Maintain our brand identity through brand and style guides, logo usage, preferred language, brand colors, fonts, etc. Social & Digital Media Lead (30%): Draft social media copy and visuals, maintain calendar, and monitor engagement for multiple platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn. Draft content for layout, edit, gather content for, and send newsletters and manage other email needs via Constant Contact. Maintain Foundation contact mailing lists from Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for integration with the email marketing system in collaboration with the Foundation Operations Team. Update content, visuals, and data highlights for Arcora website and program microsites. Visual Content Creation (10%) Develop social media and website visuals. Update brochures, one-sheets, and other printed materials. Develop and update visuals for PowerPoint presentations. Visual Content Creation (10%): Develop social media and website visuals. Special Event Communications Support (10%): Participate in special events planning team and support team success. Manage guest outreach and communications. Develop and post event-specific social media and website content. Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required and 4+ years in communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong relationship-building, communication, and editing skills. Proficiency in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Proficiency with Planner, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, WordPress, and similar platforms. Occasional travel required. Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week on-site in Seattle. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
