An immediate opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support elementary school students in Tacoma, WA over the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role involves collaborating with educators and therapists to develop and implement therapy plans that enhance students functional skills and support their academic success.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in evaluating students physical and cognitive needs under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and update therapy plans accordingly. Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development. Desired Qualifications: Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred. Strong understanding of child development and occupational therapy techniques. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. Location: Tacoma, Washington Elementary school environment.
