A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year serving K-12 students in a school setting located in King George, VA. The role requires providing in-person speech and language assessment, therapy, and consulting services focused primarily on elementary students with special education needs. This contract position follows the school calendar from August 13, 2025, through May 21, 2026, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of speech, language, and communication disorders. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team for IEP planning and implementation. Provide direct therapy for students with speech and language impairments to support their academic and social development. Offer consultative services and support to educators and special services staff. Maintain communication with families, school personnel, and healthcare providers to monitor student progress. Assist in developing effective language programs for classroom and community settings. Qualifications: Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license. Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of special education processes, disabilities, and evaluation procedures. Demonstrated commitment to serving students with special needs and their families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and engaging approach. Ability to organize and manage all phases of special education identification and support.
