A K-12 school in the Elmira, NY area is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract position during the 2025-2026 school year. This role primarily supports elementary students, with some involvement with high school students, from September through June.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
Provide direct speech and language therapy tailored to student needs
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting
Offer resources and support to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
Experience working with school-aged children preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
Knowledge of IEP processes and educational regulations
