An opportunity is available for two Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting located in New London, CT. This contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the current school year.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learner needs.
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities across various grade levels.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic growth and social development.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education.
Experience working with K-12 students with a range of disabilities.
Strong understanding of federal and state special education regulations.
Ability to create individualized, evidence-based instructional plans.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
