A Physical Therapist role is available for the 2025-2026 school year at two school sites serving students ages 8 to 21 with diverse needs. This contract position runs from September 2, 2025, through June 12, 2026, with a MondayFriday schedule across full school days (up to 40 hours/week). Part-time applicants will also be considered.

This position focuses on providing physical therapy services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Seizure Disorders, Genetic Syndromes such as Fragile X, Metabolic Disorders, Dual Diagnoses, and those preparing for vocational transitions at age 22. The program emphasizes a strong behavioral approach based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and design individualized physical therapy plans aligned with IEP goals. Deliver direct therapy and provide consultative services across multiple school environments. Collaborate closely with educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and vocational support staff. Support students functional mobility, safety, and independence in both academic and vocational settings. Document therapy services and student progress in compliance with school and state requirements. Qualifications: Possession of a valid Connecticut Physical Therapy license or ability to obtain one before the start date. Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dedication to inclusive, student-focused practices.
