This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized physical therapy services within two school sites serving students aged 8 to 21 years old. The role supports a diverse caseload that includes Autism Spectrum Disorders, Seizure Disorders, Genetic Syndromes such as Fragile X, Metabolic Disorders, and dual diagnoses, with students preparing for vocational transition at age 22. The program is grounded in a strong behavioral framework based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized physical therapy plans aligned with student needs and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Provide direct therapy and consultative support across multiple educational settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprising educators, occupational and speech therapists, and vocational staff. Enhance students functional mobility, safety, and independence in academic and vocational environments. Maintain detailed documentation of services and student progress in compliance with school and state standards. Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date. Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy is strongly preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dedication to inclusive, student-centered therapeutic practices. Work Details: Location: Two school sites in Waterbury, CT. Schedule: Monday through Friday, full school days (up to 40 hours/week); part-time applicants considered. Contract Duration: September 2, 2025 June 12, 2026.
