This full- or part-time Physical Therapist position supports students aged 8 to 21 across two school sites in Hartford, CT, during the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves working Monday through Friday during full school days, with flexibility for part-time applicants. The contract runs from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2026.

The caseload focuses on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Seizure Disorders, Genetic Syndromes (such as Fragile X), Metabolic Disorders, and dual diagnoses. Additionally, you will work with students preparing for vocational transition at age 22. Services are delivered within a behaviorally based program rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized physical therapy plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals Provide direct therapy and consultative services across multiple school environments Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators, occupational and speech therapists, and vocational support staff Support students functional mobility, safety, and independence in both academic and vocational settings Document services and student progress following school and state guidelines Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices Benefits of this opportunity include the chance to make a meaningful impact on diverse learners, work in supportive environments with collaborative teams, and benefit from flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.
