A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 school setting located in Woodbridge, VA. This contract role requires in-person work, Monday through Friday, focusing primarily on elementary school students. The position begins August 13, 2025, and concludes May 21, 2026, with a 40-hour workweek.

Offer consultative support and advisory services to school personnel regarding diagnosis and remediation. Conduct screenings and evaluations related to speech, language, articulation, and auditory development. Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team involved in IEP development and implementation. Maintain communication with staff, families, and healthcare agencies to monitor student progress. Assist staff in developing appropriate language programs within classroom and community settings. Qualifications: Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License. Experience or training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation, preferably in a school environment. Strong knowledge of special education processes, procedures, and disability categories. Demonstrated commitment to students with special education needs and their families. Ability to develop positive professional relationships and communicate effectively. Capacity to incorporate lightheartedness and humor to create a supportive work atmosphere. Understanding of early learning and atypical impairments is advantageous.
