Overview The

Human Resources Manager

is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of Human Resources policies and programs across a full range of HR functions including staffing and recruiting, employee compensation and benefits, HR compliance, performance management, employee relations and wellness, training and development opportunities. The HR Manager demonstrates a solid foundation in HR knowledge and hands-on experience, performs both professional and administrative duties with a high level of competency and engagement, and is a trusted go-to resource for employees at all levels of the organization.

What you will do

Administer and execute human resource programs focused on employee recruitment, benefits, engagement and retention, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training and development

Manage the agency Applicant Tracking System and the full-cycle talent acquisition lifecycle process, including creating job requisitions, marketing roles, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and performing new hire orientation to ensure a positive employee experience

Manage Employee Performance and Engagement tool to report on employee feedback and trends and assist the HR Lead in executing the agency annual performance reviews

Manage employee offboarding process, including preparing exit letters, exit surveys, exit interviews, and collecting employee feedback

Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly employee payroll and prepare payroll reports

Oversee annual Summer Internship Program to ensure interns have a positive experience during their time at the agency

Lead Culture Committee in the development of employee engagement initiatives, including monthly programming

Support the HR Department by being a direct resource to employees on agency benefits, including medical, dental, ancillary benefits, 401(k), and paid time off

Act as a trusted advisor to employees in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures and assist in resolution of issues

Interpret, coach, and enforce agency policies and procedures for consistency and compliance

Support the maintenance, onboarding, compiling reports, and maintaining of employee files through the agency’s HRIS system

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law

Assist with special projects and perform other duties as requested

Process employee verification requests

Your experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

SHRM-CP or PHR preferred

5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, Sr Generalist or similar experience with demonstrated proficiency in functional areas of HR

Ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and act with urgency, agility, efficiency, and effectiveness to meet deadlines

Excellent decision-making, problem solving, and strategic thinking capabilities

Maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion and ethical conduct

Possess integrity and a sympathetic attitude

Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization

Build and manage interpersonal relationships

Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy

Strong knowledge using HRIS tools to create efficiencies for HR and employees

Advanced knowledge of Office 365, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new HR platforms as needed

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel reporting is preferred

Experience working with ADP WorkforceNow is required
