A K-12 Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Holland, MI for the current school year. This contract position focuses on supporting diverse learners with special needs in two distinct roles to foster inclusive and effective educational experiences.
The first role involves providing early childhood special education (EC SPED) services, emphasizing foundational development and personalized learning plans for young children. The second role focuses on high school students, aged 15-19, within a special education framework aligned with MAISD guidelines. Both positions require expertise in individualized instruction, behavioral interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support academic and social growth.
Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to ensure comprehensive educational support.
Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress.
Adapt curriculum and materials to maximize accessibility for diverse learners.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience with early childhood special education and secondary special education services.
Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and ability to work with students aged from early childhood through high school.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
