Serve as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for students in grades K-12 in an itinerant role across multiple districts in the Newark, NY area. Deliver supports and services in alignment with individual education plans across several school districts. Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) as a primary communication method to facilitate student engagement and learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Qualifications: Active New York State Teacher of the Deaf certificate required. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) essential. Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in itinerant or inclusive settings preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators. Ability to manage a caseload across multiple districts with flexibility and organization.
