A teaching opportunity is available for a qualified professional skilled in educating Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Rochester, NY area. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY) in a K-12 school setting.

Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grades K-12 Manage an itinerant caseload spanning several districts, delivering tailored educational services Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student learning and communication Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods to meet student needs Maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing professional development Qualifications: Hold an active New York State Teacher of the Deaf certificate Demonstrate proficiency in American Sign Language Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ideally within an itinerant model Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments Location: Rochester, NY (Itinerant across multiple districts) Benefits and Compensation: Competitive pay range of $37 to $50 per hour based on experience and qualifications Health, dental, and vision insurance offerings 401(k) retirement plan available Weekly pay schedule providing consistent income This role offers the chance to impact students lives directly while working across different districts.
