An exciting full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 educational setting. Position Type: Full-time contract for the school year Grade Levels: K-12 Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing Utilize specialized teaching methods and communication strategies to facilitate effective learning Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student development and needs Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in deaf education Qualifications & Desired Experience: Certification or credentials relevant to teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing Experience working with K-12 students in a similar capacity preferred Strong communication skills, including proficiency in sign language or other relevant communication methods Ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs and environments Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere This role presents a valuable opportunity for educators dedicated to empowering students with hearing impairments and promoting their academic and social success.
