Job Type: Contract, Current School Year (CSY) Grade Levels: K-12 Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and audiologists, to support student learning and communication needs Utilize various teaching methods and assistive technologies to enhance language acquisition and academic achievement Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet educational goals Maintain clear communication with families and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching credential or certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education Experience working with K-12 students within special education settings Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and cochlear implant technologies preferred Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational professionals Benefits of this role include contributing meaningful support to a diverse student population and collaborating in a professional educational environment committed to special needs education.
