Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. Utilize specialized teaching techniques, technology, and resources to enhance communication and learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student performance. Promote social and emotional development by fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching credential with endorsement or certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Strong knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) or other appropriate modalities. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
