An educational opportunity is available for Teachers specializing in Visually Impaired education within a K-12 school setting. This position focuses on supporting students with visual impairments, providing tailored instruction to enhance their learning experiences and independence. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students' unique visual needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive educational support. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Provide orientation and mobility training as needed to foster student independence. Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with educational regulations. Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credential. Experience working with visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels. Strong understanding of instructional strategies and assistive technologies for visual impairments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to design and deliver individualized instructional materials. Commitment to fostering inclusive education environments. Location: Lowell, MA
