Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
Use specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning.
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers.
Conduct assessments and monitor student progress.
Provide orientation and mobility training as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification in Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
Strong knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and accessible educational materials.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
Patience, creativity, and dedication to fostering student independence.
