This opportunity is for a Teachers for the Visually Impaired position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade within a public school setting in Methuen, MA. The role is a contract position for the full school year.

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students with visual impairments. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) focused on visual and academic skills. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure accessibility and inclusion. Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance learning. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet evolving needs. Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credential. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Knowledge of braille, orientation and mobility, and other specialized instructional methods. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage caseload and documentation effectively. Location: Position based in Methuen, Massachusetts, serving local school populations. This contract role covers the full academic school year, providing a consistent and impactful presence for students requiring specialized educational support. Candidates with proven expertise in visual impairment education and a commitment to student success are encouraged to apply. Compensation for this position ranges from $35.25 to $60.25.
