A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive therapy services in a K-12 school setting located in Escondido, CA. This contract position is to cover an unexpected leave from September 10th through December 19th, with the possibility of an extension beyond this period. The role involves working 40 hours per week and managing a caseload averaging 55 students with mild to moderate speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students across K-12 grades.
Manage and maintain a caseload of approximately 55 students with mild/moderate needs.
Split work schedule between two schools within the district.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification/license.
Experience working in a school setting, preferably with K-12 students.
Strong caseload management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
