A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in an elementary school setting, supporting students in grades TK through 5. The role is a contract position based in Escondido, CA, with a commitment from August 5, 2024, through June 12, 2025.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language pathology services to a caseload of approximately 46 students, including those with Speech IEPs and students in Mild/Moderate Special Day Classes (SDC). Conduct comprehensive assessments and write detailed reports to track progress and inform instructional strategies. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with teams on student goals and adjustments. Maintain clear communication with educators, parents, and staff to support student development. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification as an SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting. Bilingual candidates are highly desirable and may stand out in the selection process. Flexibility to work with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) if necessary. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage caseload and meetings effectively. Work Schedule and Location: Location: Escondido, CA Hours: 40 hours per week Daily Schedule: 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM Work setting: In-person services only (no teletherapy or hybrid options) This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners while gaining valuable clinical experience.
