A Special Education teacher is sought for a K-12 setting specializing as an Intervention Specialist. This contract position is based in Westerville, OH, with a school-year duration from ASAP through May 29th. The work schedule runs from 8:20 AM to 4:10 PM.

This role involves managing a Cross-categorical resource room serving primarily K-2 students, with a typical caseload of 8 to 12 students. Many students have autism or developmental disabilities and spend most of their day in the resource room, occasionally joining their peers for specials. A paraprofessional will support daily classroom activities. Key responsibilities include: Managing the classroom environment and routine daily operations Developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to student needs Writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitoring and documenting student progress with quarterly reports Leading IEP meetings in collaboration with families and service providers Supporting social and academic growth of students with diverse learning challenges Preferred qualifications and experience: Certification in Special Education or Intervention Specialist credentials Experience working with young students (K-2) with autism or developmental disabilities Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience of students with special needs.
