An opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education to support K-12 students within a dynamic school setting. This contract position, spanning the full school year, plays a vital role in fostering communication skills, academic growth, and social development for students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. Utilize sign language and other assistive communication methods to enhance learning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community resources to create an inclusive educational environment. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles. Provide direct instruction and support in speech, language, auditory development, and literacy. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification with a focus on Deaf/Hard of Hearing education. Proven experience teaching K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of assistive technologies. Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educational teams.
