Seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for a range of classroom settings in Waukegan, IL, for the upcoming full semester. These contract roles involve working with diverse student groups requiring specialized support, including resource classrooms, early childhood, ISEC, structured learning, and educational life skills programs.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction through push-in and pull-out models in resource classrooms serving 10 to 15 students Manage Early Childhood Special Education classrooms providing tailored support for developmental needs Lead ISEC classes with 10 to 13 students focusing on individualized special education curriculum Teach Structured Learning Classes (SLC) comprising 6 to 8 students, emphasizing adaptive learning strategies Instruct Educational Life Skills (ELS) classes of 6 to 8 students, fostering independence and functional skills Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs Maintain detailed records of student performance and communication with families and staff Desired Qualifications: Valid license or certification in Special Education teaching Experience with push-in and pull-out instructional strategies Ability to instruct across multiple special education settings, including early childhood and life skills classes Strong classroom management skills with the capacity to engage 6 to 15 students per class Knowledge of IEP development and compliance with special education laws and regulations Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Location: Waukegan, Illinois This is an excellent opportunity for Special Education professionals seeking a full semester contract within a supportive environment focused on student growth.
